Blindings annoying boredom

Well.. it's been 11 years since I've drawn... so I thought I'd pick up a pencil once more, and venture back into lost territory that haunts me.

You obsess over eyes, don't you?

I say you should sketch a bit lighter till you have things where you want them. It makes for a cleaner image and less graphite on the side of your drawing hand. And try not to move your hand driectly over the paper- lift and place hand, then draw. I can see by the amount of graphite smudging on side to actually guess that you're right-handed.

my hand doesn't hit white... it's not a habit i've ever possessed being someone who is more used to cans..

and yes i'm right handed.. and anything that's heavy was in the place i wanted...

someone who can draw eyes and fingers well can draw anything.. i can NEVER get the fingers right.. and my favorite part of human anatomy is hands.. pity i screw that up the most.

even i have problems with light drawing.. either its the perfect stroke or its not. and IF its not then it gets redone and redone and redone and the page gets thrown. but to avoid the smudging.. just pust a blank piece of paper under your hand.. reduces the smudging.. doesnt get completely rid of it though.

It's just a suggestion, bud. Nothing about habits or whatever else.
Drawing the 'frame' or 'outline' of the body like you did will help, but if you darken things before you have in place, you may end up erasing a dark patch because it needs adjust. But then it's already laden with enough graphite that it will 'ghost' on the paper.
And if your hand doesn't hit white, then how could I have accurately known that you are right-handed? It's not like it's a really bad thing, everyone does it. Oil of the skin and the graphite residue carries over any paper surface, especially when drawing large-scale. I'm just making a suggestion to save you the extra work of more tedious erasing.

wow its good that you start with some part and then finish it.. i have to do LAYERS.. the lightest base.. then a shade darker.. and then.. layers till the pic is done..
